February 2021: Shomron is editor of a new book

Prof. Noam Shomron, Edmond J. Safra member (Medicine), is the editor of a new book published in the series "Deep Sequencing Data Analysis: Methods and Protocols, Second Edition".

 

Eight chapters in the book were authored by Prof. Shomron and his students. Among them Edmond J. Safra PhD student fellows Artem Danilevsky and Yazeed Zoabi, and former Edmond J. Safra PhD fellow Tom Rabinowitz. Two other chapters were authored by Dr. Metsada Pasmanik-Chor, Edmond J. Safra affiliate (Life Sciences), and by Dr. Yaron Orenstein, Former Edmond J. Safra PhD fellow (Shamir lab, Computer Science), now a faculty member in Ben-Gurion University.

 

This second edition of the book provides new and updated chapters from expert researchers in the field detailing methods used to study the multi-facet deep sequencing data field. Chapters guide readers through techniques for processing RNA-seq data, microbiome analysis, deep learning methodologies, and various approaches for the identification of sequence variants.
