Abstract:
We consider a component of atomic dark matter that undergoes a process of rearrangement in the galaxy, producing highly excited bound states. These bound states de-excite to the ground state, emitting many dark photons with a characteristic line spectrum. We discuss the possibility of detecting these dark photons in neutrino observatories, and the corresponding constraints on their kinetic mixing with the visible photon from current data.
