The Israeli National Team to the International Mathematics Competition 2016 (IMC)

The Israeli National Team to the International Mathematics Competition that was held in Blagoevgrad, Bulgaria, was ranked second among 72 Universities teams. The team was composed of four members: Tom Kalvari and Dor Shmoish from Tel Aviv University, Asael Reiter from the Technion and Guy Kapon from Bar-Iilan. The members of the team secured their participation by winning the Israeli Mathematics Competition, which took place in April 2016 at Tel Aviv University and was financed by Final Israel Ltd.

 

In the personal ranking, Tom Kalvari was ranked 4 in the competition among 320 participants, and Achieve "Grand First Prize". Dor Shmoish was ranked 6-7, Guy Kapon was ranked 9, and Asael Reiter was ranked 72-81.

 

The team's trainer and leader is Lev Radzivilivsky, a Ph.D. student at the School of Mathematical Sciences at Tel Aviv University.
