High Energy Theory Group Meeting: Holographic Abrikosov Lattice

Abstract: 

In this talk I will discuss a holographic study of a superfluid in an external magnetic field. In particular, we will see a transition to a phase characterised by a periodic lattice of vortices. The results agree and extend Abrikosov’s original calculation to temperatures away from the critical one, and to higher Landau levels.
