Abstract:
The existence and construction of a basis of loop integrals plays an important role in the unitarity approach to calculating them. The decomposition of loop integrands is a key step in obtaining such a basis. In this talk, I will discuss the analogous procedure for phase-space integrals. I will also give an overview of some of the computational algebraic geometry tools required.
