Ph.D. Studies
The School of Mathematical Sciences has excellent programs for Ph.D students in Mathematics, Statistics and Operations Research.
The primary focus of the Ph.D programs is to carry out independent research under the guidance of one of the School's distinguished faculty members. In addition, students are required to take a modest number of advanced courses.
Students interested in a Ph.D program should begin by first seeking a supervisor for their dissertation research. The full study program will then be set by the supervisor with the express purpose being to best prepare the student to successfully engage in advanced research.
