Ceremony and Symposium Honoring the 2022 International Sackler Prize Laureates in Chemistry
Prof. Adam Cohen from Harvard University and Prof. Bozhi Tian from the University of Chicago are the Sackler Prize Laureates for 2022. The Research Field: Physical Chemistry in Biomedical Sciences
On July 11-13, 2023, the School of Chemistry hosted the 2022 International Sackler Prize Laureates in chemistry: Prof. Adam Cohen from Harvard University and Prof. Bozhi Tian from the University of Chicago.
The highlight of their visit was the symposium that took place on 12.7.23 at the Jaglom Auditorium, in the Senate Building.
The 2 Prize laureates presented their groundbreaking research in this years' chosen field: "Physical Chemistry in Biomedical Sciences".
The title of Prof. Cohen's lecture was "Bringing bioelectricity to light", and Prof. Tian's Lecture title was "Semiconductor-based biointerfaces for modulation and sensing across all length scales".
During their visit, the prize laureates met our faculty members and some of our graduate students for Round Table Conversations in which they introduced themselves, exchanged information and had scientific discussions.
Researchers from Biomedical Engineering and Life Sciences, whose field of research overlaps these subjects, also attended the meetings.
