Congratulations to our colleagues Liron Barak and Iair Arcavi, both of whom have won the prestigious Alon Fellowship
Liron Barak joined the Particle Physics Department this academic year and Iair Arcavi will be joining the Astrophysics Department shortly
Dr. Liron Barak studies Physics beyond the Standard Model using the Large Hadron Collider particle accelerator at CERN.
Dr. Iair Arcavi studies a variety of cataclysmic events, including stellar explosions called supernovae, the disruption of stars that pass close to giant black holes, and the gravitational waves and light that emerge from colliding neutron stars and black holes.
