Abstract:

High-frequency gravitational waves offer a unique window into the early universe, arising from various processes in the primordial universe. At frequencies higher than those currently accessible by laser interferometers, astrophysical foregrounds are minimal, making high-frequency gravitational waves particularly interesting for exploration. However, detecting these signals poses significant challenges, sparking extensive efforts to develop suitable experimental techniques. In this talk, I will first provide an overview of high-frequency gravitational wave sources and detection strategies. Then, I will focus on a theorist's perspective, particularly on experiments utilizing electromagnetic cavities, similar to those employed in axion searches. I will discuss how to accurately predict the gravitational wave signal within these system.
