Abstract:
Entangled photons play a key role in studying fundamental aspects of quantum mechanics and its potential applications. However, the unique correlations of entangled photons are scrambled by ubiquitous and often inevitable scattering, limiting transmission of entanglement through complex media such as multimode optical fibers and turbulent atmosphere. Over the past few decades, physicists discovered fascinating transport properties of classical light in complex media and developed incredibly powerful tools for controlling it. In my talk I will present our recent works that extend these findings to the quantum realm, highlighting that quantum properties of light can be preserved and controlled while traversing complex scattering media.
